The 2017 National Student Survey

Take part in the National Student Survey

6 February 2017

The 2017 National Student Survey (NSE) will officially start. The NSE is a nationwide survey in which students voice their opinions about their degree programme. As from 20 January, Stichting Studiekeuze123 will send you an e-mail inviting you to participate. Do take part, because your opinion counts!

Each year, the National Student Survey gives tens of thousands of students the chance to voice their opinions with respect to their degree programme. Survey results will be used to provide input for orientation activities for new students and for the compilation of national rankings. In addition, the results identify the areas in which the UvA needs to improve. For 2016, the Graduate School of Social Sciences focused on improving course and curriculum evaluations, more and better study locations in the building, and communication to students.

As from 20 January, Stichting Studiekeuze123 will send you an email inviting you to participate in the NSE. The survey can be completed up until 12 March. Participants stand the chance of winning a KILROY travel cheque (worth €2.000,-), ten cash prizes worth €400 (for rent money, tuition fees, books, …) and 265 Bol.com vouchers (worth €20).

This year, the Graduate School of Social Sciences hopes to see many students take part in the NSE. The more students participate, the better the UvA can assess its students’ satisfaction levels and map the areas in which it can improve its performance.

About the NSE

The NSE is organised by Stichting Studiekeuze123, which is an initiative of the ISO and LSVb student associations and the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (Vereniging Hogescholen), the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) and the NRTO council for training and education. The survey is conducted by the market research agency GfK.
